Hi – I’m Sally, a photographer based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
For over 13 years, I’ve had the joy of photographing babies, families, pets and small businesses across Herts, Beds, Bucks – and beyond. My style is relaxed, modern, and natural, capturing genuine moments that feel like you.
I’m proud to now welcome you to my beautiful, fully-equipped studio in Apsley. This space is in addition to my lifestyle home studio (situatiated nearby). The larger studio is more spacious so I can welcome larger families, offer more creative portraits, more space for my ever expanding Christmas Mini’s and prop collection.
We have tea/coffee making facilities, cold drinks and toilets for your comfort.
My lifestyle Home studio is a smaller space but perfect for those wanting a relaxed Maternity, Newborn & Baby photoshoot, early years birthday, last minute business headshots etc. My home studio is a warm, welcoming space designed especially for creating timeless portraits you’ll treasure forever. Whether it’s snuggly newborn shots, playful toddler giggles, or quiet moments of connection, the studio gives us the perfect setting to capture it all, no matter the weather.

Over the years, I’ve been recognised by The Guild of Photographers, including being named one of their Top Ten Photographers of the Year for my child and family work. But the best reward is always seeing families come back as their story grows.

How it works
In the run up to the shoot
Once you’ve booked your session, I’ll send over a helpful guide with everything you need to know – from what to wear to what to bring, and how to get the most out of your shoot.
We’ll choose a date that fits around your schedule, and I’ll help you prepare with styling advice and tips to make sure everyone feels confident and at ease – whether that’s kids, pets, or you as the face of your brand.
Whether it’s your first time in front of the camera or you’re a regular, I’ll make sure you feel supported every step of the way. All you need to do is show up, relax, and let me capture the moments that matter.
On the day
The studio will be warm, welcoming, and fully set up, ready for your session – whether you’re bringing a newborn, the whole family, your four-legged friend, or coming solo for branding portraits.
Feel free to bring along drinks, snacks, or anything that helps you (or your little ones) feel comfortable – sessions are relaxed, with plenty of time for breaks, cuddles, outfit changes, or even a coffee and a chat. For pooches I will have high quality treats and a water bowl here for them.
I’ll guide you on what to wear ahead of time, but you’re always welcome to bring favourite outfits, props, or anything personal you’d love to include. My goal is to make the whole experience simple, enjoyable, and authentic – so we can create timeless images that feel like you.
After your photoshoot
After your session, I’ll send over a couple of sneak peeks so you can relive the magic – perfect for sharing with loved ones or posting a little behind-the-scenes moment from your shoot.
Your full gallery will be ready within 2–3 weeks, filled with images that capture genuine connection, personality, and purpose – whether that’s family cuddles, tiny newborn details, wagging tails, or confident branding portraits. You’ll have time to choose your favourites at your own pace, and decide how you’d love to enjoy them.

My beautiful photography studio is based at Avia House, Avia Close, Apsley – right in the heart of Hertfordshire. It’s a calm, welcoming space designed with families in mind, where you can feel instantly at ease the moment you arrive.
There’s two allocated free parking spaces to the left of the building, making your visit super easy (especially when you’ve got little ones in tow), and a selection of local shops and cafés just around the corner if you fancy a post-session treat.
The studio has been a well-known feature in Hemel Hempstead for over 10 years, and I’m so proud to now be using this space to create relaxed, natural images that capture your family just as you are. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve visited before, you’ll always receive a warm welcome.

Frequently asked questions
Do you have a booking fee?
Answer here Yes I take a £50 deposit to secure your date and time, if baby or a parent is unwell the shoot can be rescheduled once at no additional charge
Do you supply clothing?
No I do not supply clothing for family photography but I can help with styling.
Can I bring our dog along to the shoot?
Absolutely
Can you help me with frames or prints?
We have a wide range or prints and wall art to choose from, I can help you choose
What is the cancellation policy?
24 hours. Or if baby or a parent is unwell on shoot day I will happily reschule once. If you decide to cancel the shoot altogether the deposit is non-refundable
