Hi – I’m Sally a hemel hempstead newborn photographer who has been working with families around Herts, Beds & Bucks and further afield for the last 13 years, I specialise in natural light photography with families. I have won numerous awards over the years with The Guild of Photographers, including Top Ten Photographer of the Year with my Child and Family photography
My sessions are very relaxed and I try to make it as enjoyable as possible, capturing images naturally, less posed.
I have a home studio where I photograph newborns and mum and dad and 4 legged friends are welcome too
Maternity Photoshoot
Capture those special moments before your new addition arrives.
Photoshoots are fun and relaxed, we chat through ideas before the session, chatting through styling, ideas and requirements.
You can keep your shoot simple/boho with my natural lifestyle white studio, your partner, any siblings and/or dog are more than welcome to come along.
If you opt for your maternity session on natural lifestyle you can follow on with your newborn session in the same style so any wall art or framed images within your home will blend in beautifully.
I have various gowns for you to use and you can opt for a fine art option within the same photoshoot for variation
Your photoshoot will last roughly 90 minutes and include your 10 favourites as digitals

How it works
In the run up to the shoot
We will book a preliminary date roughly a week after your due date (newborns are best photographed in the first 14 days after birth)
Once you have delivered your bundle, get in touch and we can confirm the date
On the day
I’ll have the studio nice and warm and ready for you.
Bring your changing bag, feeds, drinks and snacks for yourselves, we keep it as relaxed as possible and have breaks when needed.
I have a lovely selection of neutral newborn outfits and blankets, but if you have brought soemthing special for the shoot please do bring it along
After your photoshoot
After the shoot, I will organise a couple of previews for you fairly quickly.
Your gallery will then be sent across 14-21 days post shoot for you to choose your favourites from the gallery
Babies First Birthday
Such a big occasion! That first year has flown by, its your babies first Birthday which must be market with a super relaxed and fun photoshoot, capturing their personality!
I like to keep things very simple! Bring either a big helium no.1 Balloon, either in white, blue or pink, try not to let them see it and then give them the run of the studio to play with it, the images speak volumes, they absolutely love it! But also feel free to bring a cake and some balloons if you prefer.
We then finish up the photoshoot with baby in my lovely unique ornate Victorian bath tub! I have a victorian Mop hat for the little girls, I can then pop some bubbles into the finalised images
Your photoshoot will last roughly 60 minutes and include your 5 favourites as digitals

Frequently asked questions
Do you have a booking fee?
Answer here Yes I take a £50 deposit to secure your date and time, if baby or a parent is unwell the shoot can be rescheduled once at no additional charge
Do you supply any newborn outfits?
Yes I have lots of beautiful neutral organic outfits & blankets to choose from
Can I bring our dog along to the shoot?
Absolutely
Can you help me with frames or prints?
We have a wide range or prints and wall art to choose from, I can help you choose
What is the cancellation policy?
24 hours. Or if baby or a parent is unwell on shoot day I will happily reschule once. If you decide to cancel the shoot altogether the deposit is non-refundable
